FELUCCA AT SUNSET ON THE NILE
Jenann, Inge, Nina, and I sat on our Luxor Sheraton terrace in awe of this beautiful Egyptian sight.

LUXOR TEMPLE
The Avenue of Sphinxes led to the Temple of Luxor, which was built by Amenhotep III, and added on to by the famed Ramses II.
The Egyptians called it the "southern sanctuary" or "opet."

I did not have the good fortune of seeing Fifi Abdo's show at the Mena House Oberoi (right next to the Great Pyramids). Instead,
I was in bed with a nasty flu. I give many thanks to my friend, Nina Koelmeyer, for taking this photo.

SASSY FIFI ABDO
The view was great atop our mighty steed! Riding a camel is quite comfy -- lots of cushions and there is a soothing rocking
motion to its gate....

THE FAMED SOHARE ZAKI
I had the blessing of seeing Ms. Zaki perform twice during my stay in Cairo. Appearing at the beautiful Meridien Hotel, she
performed for a solid hour with a 32-piece orchestra. Ms. Zaki was so elegant and gracious, even inviting us into her home.
She will always be my favorite Oriental dancer...
